AirCore P2

Carbon Filter: When and How to Replace

The activated carbon filter in the AirCore P2 absorbs volatile organic compounds (VOCs), odours, and gaseous pollutants. Unlike the HEPA filter, the carbon filter's lifespan depends heavily on your environment — homes with cooking odours, pets, or high VOC levels will exhaust it faster.

When to replace

What you'll need

Steps

  1. Power off the unit. Unplug the AirCore P2 from its power source before starting.
  2. Remove the base housing. Grip the base and twist anti-clockwise about 30 degrees until it releases, then pull it downward. This is the same procedure used for HEPA filter access.
  3. Slide out the HEPA filter. The cylindrical HEPA filter sits in front of the carbon filter. Gently pull it downward and set it aside on a clean surface.
  4. Remove the carbon filter. The carbon filter sits directly behind (above) the HEPA filter in the housing. Slide it out downward.
  5. Insert the new carbon filter. Slide the replacement carbon filter into position. It only fits one way — align the tab with the notch in the housing.
  6. Replace the HEPA filter. Slide the HEPA filter back in with its directional arrow pointing up.
  7. Reattach the base housing. Push the housing onto the base of the unit and twist clockwise until it clicks into place.

If odour removal does not improve after replacing the carbon filter, the source may be outside the unit's capacity for your room size. Contact support at support.monverta.com for room sizing advice and placement tips.
