Winter Storage Guide

Storing your JetWash Pro 360 correctly over winter prevents costly damage to the pump, seals and internal components. Follow these steps before temperatures drop below freezing.

Warning: Freezing water inside the pump expands and cracks the pump seals and piston housing. Always drain and protect the unit before storing in cold conditions.

Steps

  1. Disconnect the garden hose from the water inlet and disconnect the high-pressure hose from the trigger gun.
  2. Drain all remaining water. With the hoses removed, switch the unit on and pull the trigger for 5 seconds to purge any water left in the pump and internal passages. Switch off once the flow stops.
  3. Add pump antifreeze. Pour a small amount of non-toxic pump antifreeze (available from most motor accessory shops) into the water inlet. Run the pump for 2–3 seconds to circulate the antifreeze through the system.
  4. Store indoors above 0°C. Place the unit in a garage, shed or utility room where the temperature stays above freezing. Stand it upright on a dry surface.
  5. Cover to prevent dust. Drape a cloth or fitted cover over the unit to keep dust, insects and moisture away from the motor vents and connections.

Spring start-up tip

Before first use in spring, inspect all O-rings on the hose connectors and trigger gun. Replace any that appear cracked, flattened or perished. Run clean water through the unit for 30 seconds before applying pressure to flush out any remaining antifreeze residue.
