Cleaning the Inner Door Glass

Over time, cooking splashes and grease build up between the inner and outer door glass panels. The Oven Studio 800 door is designed for easy disassembly so you can clean the inner glass without tools.

Warning: Never use abrasive cleaners, scouring pads or wire wool on the inner door glass. The glass has a reflective heat-management coating that will be permanently damaged by abrasives.

Steps

  1. Open the door fully so it rests in the horizontal position. Ensure the oven is completely cool before starting.
  2. Locate the two release levers at the top edge of the inner glass panel. They are small plastic tabs, one at each end, positioned just below the top trim of the door.
  3. Flip both levers by rotating them upward with your fingertip. Left lever first, then right.
  4. Tilt the inner glass panel forward. With both levers released, the top edge of the inner glass will swing toward you. Support the glass with both hands as it tilts.
  5. Lift the glass panel out. Once tilted approximately 45 degrees, lift the panel upward to free the bottom edge from its retaining channel.
  6. Clean with warm soapy water. Wash the glass panel in the sink using warm water and a mild washing-up liquid. Use a soft sponge or microfibre cloth. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely before refitting.
  7. Reverse the steps to refit. Slot the bottom edge of the glass into the retaining channel, tilt the panel back into position, and flip both release levers down until they click locked.

Cleaning tip

While the inner glass is removed, wipe the inside face of the outer glass panel too. Use the same warm soapy water and a soft cloth. This is the only time both faces are easily accessible, so it is worth cleaning both while the door is apart.
