Pyrolytic Self-Clean Cycle Guide

The Oven Studio 800 features a pyrolytic self-cleaning function that heats the cavity to approximately 480°C, incinerating grease and food residue into fine ash that can be wiped away easily.

Warning: During the pyrolytic cycle the oven exterior will become very hot. The room temperature will rise noticeably. Ensure the kitchen is well ventilated, keep children and pets away from the oven, and do not leave the cycle running unsupervised for extended periods.

Steps

  1. Remove all trays, shelves and accessories from the oven cavity. The pyrolytic cycle will damage non-enamelled parts, baking trays, the wire rack, thermometer probes and telescopic rails. Only the bare cavity should remain.
  2. Close the door. The cycle will not start unless the door is properly closed and latched.
  3. Select Pyrolytic from the menu. Navigate the control panel to Settings > Cleaning > Pyrolytic. Choose the cycle duration: Light (2 hours) for regular maintenance or Intensive (3 hours) for heavy soiling.
  4. Confirm to start. Press OK to begin. The door locks automatically within the first minute and the lock indicator illuminates on the display.
  5. Wait for the cycle to complete. The oven runs the full programme automatically. Do not attempt to open the door or switch off at the mains during the cycle.
  6. Let the oven cool completely. After the cycle finishes, the door remains locked until the cavity temperature drops below 200°C. This typically takes 45–60 minutes. The lock indicator will switch off when the door can be opened.
  7. Wipe out the ash. Open the door and wipe the cavity floor and walls with a damp cloth to remove the fine grey ash. No additional cleaning products are needed.

How often?

Run the pyrolytic cycle every 3 to 6 months depending on how frequently you use the oven and what you cook. Roasting and grilling produce more grease splatter and may require more frequent cleaning. Wiping up major spills promptly between cycles reduces the build-up and the intensity of the pyrolytic run needed.
