How to Connect Therma One T1 to Wi-Fi

Connecting your Therma One T1 to Wi-Fi enables remote control through the Monverta app, automatic firmware updates, and cloud-based scheduling. The T1 supports 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi networks only.

What you'll need

Steps

  1. Download the Monverta Home app from the App Store or Google Play. Create an account or sign in if you already have one. The app requires location permissions to detect nearby devices.
  2. Power on the T1. If this is the first time powering on, the setup wizard will launch automatically. If the T1 has already been set up, navigate to Settings > Wi-Fi on the thermostat display.
  3. Open Wi-Fi settings on the thermostat. On the T1 display, go to Settings > Wi-Fi > Connect to Network. The T1 will scan for available 2.4 GHz networks. This takes approximately 10 seconds.
  4. Select your network. Scroll through the list of detected networks and tap your home Wi-Fi SSID. If your network is hidden, select Other Network at the bottom of the list and type the SSID manually.
  5. Enter your Wi-Fi password. Use the on-screen keyboard to type your password. Tap the eye icon to reveal characters as you type. Press Connect when ready.
  6. Confirm the connection. The T1 will display a Wi-Fi icon in the top-right corner of the home screen once connected. In the Monverta Home app, go to Home > Add Device and follow the prompts to pair the T1 with your account.
