Pairing the Cuff (Association)

The VitaCheck M1 uses intelligent cuff detection to verify the connected cuff model and size. When you connect a new or replacement cuff for the first time, the monitor will prompt you to complete the association process.

When is association required?

• Connecting a new optional cuff (Small MV-VM1-CUFF-S or Large MV-VM1-CUFF-L) for the first time.
• After replacing the standard cuff assembly (MV-VM1-SP-CUFF).
• After a factory reset of the monitor.

Step-by-step

1. Connect the new cuff air tube to the monitor port. Push firmly until you hear a click.
2. The display will show "New cuff detected — Associate?" with Yes/No options.
3. Press Yes (the START button).
4. The monitor will perform a brief test inflation (approximately 5 seconds) to verify the cuff is sealed and responding correctly.
5. On success, the display shows "Cuff associated" and the cuff size (e.g., "Standard 22–42 cm").
6. The cuff is now stored in the monitor memory and will be recognised automatically on future connections.

Switching between cuffs

The VitaCheck M1 can remember up to three cuffs (one of each size). When you reconnect a previously associated cuff, it is detected automatically without repeating the association process. The display shows the cuff size briefly on connection.

Troubleshooting association

• "Association failed" — check the air tube connection and ensure the cuff is not damaged or leaking air. Retry the association.
