Understanding Your Blood Pressure Results

Reading the display

After each measurement, the VitaCheck M1 displays three values:

Blood pressure categories

CategorySystolic (mmHg)Diastolic (mmHg)
NormalLess than 120Less than 80
Elevated120–129Less than 80
High (Stage 1)130–13980–89
High (Stage 2)140 or higher90 or higher
Hypertensive crisisHigher than 180Higher than 120

Important: If your reading shows systolic above 180 or diastolic above 120, wait 5 minutes and re-test. If the reading remains in this range, seek immediate medical attention.

The colour bar indicator

The VitaCheck M1 displays a colour bar alongside your reading based on the classification above. Green indicates normal, yellow indicates elevated, orange indicates high, and red indicates a hypertensive range. This is for general guidance only — always discuss your results with your healthcare provider.

Irregular heartbeat indicator

If an irregular pulse rhythm is detected during measurement, a heart icon with a wavy line will appear on the display. Occasional detection is common and may not indicate a health concern. If the symbol appears on three or more consecutive readings, consult your healthcare provider.

Averaging

Press MEM to view stored readings. The monitor calculates a rolling average of your last three readings. For the most clinically useful data, take two to three readings at each session, separated by 1–2 minutes, and record the average.

Syncing your data

When connected via Bluetooth or Wi-Fi, readings are automatically synced to your digital health record. Access your history by scanning the QR code on the device. You can view trends over 7 days, 30 days, and 90 days.
