Vacuum Not Charging
Symptoms
- LED ring on handle remains dark when placed on dock or connected via USB-C
- Battery percentage in the app does not increase after several hours
- LED ring shows amber briefly then turns off
- Machine powers on but shows critically low battery after overnight charging
Likely Causes
- The vacuum is not correctly seated on the dock
- The dock power adapter is not connected or the outlet is off
- The USB-C charging port on the handle is blocked by debris
- Battery has discharged completely and requires a longer recovery period
- Dock charging contacts are dirty or corroded
Step-by-step Fix
- Confirm the wall outlet powering the dock is live. Try plugging another device into the same outlet.
- Remove the A9 from the dock and re-hang it, ensuring the charging contacts on the handle base align with the dock pins. You should feel a light resistance as the magnets seat.
- Inspect the charging contacts on both the dock and the base of the A9 handle. Clean both surfaces with a dry cloth. Oxidation or dust on the contact pins is a common cause of charging failure.
- If using the USB-C cable, try a different cable. Check the port on the handle for lint or debris and clear gently with a wooden toothpick.
- If the battery discharged completely (the machine won't power on), connect via USB-C and leave for 15 minutes before attempting to power on. Deeply discharged batteries need a recovery phase before the LED activates.
- Check the Monverta Home app — if the battery health reads below 20% capacity, the battery may need replacement.
