Motor Not Starting

Symptoms

Likely Causes

  1. Thermal cut-out has tripped due to overheating or prolonged continuous use
  2. Power supply issue — faulty socket, tripped circuit breaker or blown fuse in plug
  3. Trigger lock is engaged, preventing the trigger from being fully depressed
  4. Extension lead is too thin or too long, causing excessive voltage drop
  5. Water has entered the motor housing (outdoor use in rain without cover)

Step-by-step Fix

  1. Check the plug and socket. Confirm the plug is fully inserted. Try a different mains socket to rule out a dead outlet. Check the fuse in the plug — the JetWash Pro 360 requires a 13A fuse.
  2. Wait 10 minutes for thermal cool-down. If the unit has been running for an extended period, the internal thermal cut-out may have tripped. Switch off, unplug, and wait at least 10 minutes before trying again.
  3. Check the trigger lock. The safety lock on the trigger gun prevents accidental operation. Ensure the lock slider is pushed fully forward to the unlocked position before squeezing the trigger.
  4. Try without the extension lead. Plug the unit directly into a wall socket. Extension leads rated below 13A or longer than 10 metres can cause voltage drop that prevents the motor from starting. If you must use an extension, use a cable rated for outdoor power tools (minimum 1.5mm² cross-section).
  5. Check for water in the motor housing. If the unit has been left outdoors in wet conditions, water may have entered through the ventilation slots. Stand the unit upright in a warm, dry location for 24 hours before attempting to use it. Do not use a hair dryer or heat gun to accelerate drying.

Still not working?

If the motor does not start after checking all of the above, there may be an internal electrical fault. Do not attempt to open the motor housing. Contact support at support.monverta.com/book-service with your model and serial number.
