Oven Not Heating
Symptoms
- Oven display is on and a cooking mode is selected, but the cavity does not heat
- Target temperature is set but the displayed temperature does not rise
- Fan runs but no heat is produced (fan-assisted modes)
- Oven worked previously but stopped heating after a power outage
Likely Causes
- The oven is in Demo Mode (retail display mode) — heats are disabled
- Child lock is active, preventing function activation
- A residual safety lockout from the pyrolytic cycle is still active
- The circuit breaker or in-line fuse for the oven has tripped
- A heating element has failed
Step-by-step Fix
- Check for a Demo Mode indicator on the display. Demo Mode is occasionally activated unintentionally during cleaning. To exit, press and hold Settings for 8 seconds and confirm the prompt.
- Check whether the child lock icon appears on the display. Press and hold the lock symbol for 3 seconds to toggle it off.
- If a pyrolytic clean was run recently, confirm the door has fully unlocked (the lock icon should be absent). The door lock remains engaged until the cavity cools below 40 °C — this can take up to 45 minutes.
- Locate the dedicated circuit breaker for the oven in your fuse box. Switch it off, wait 30 seconds, and switch back on. Attempt to heat again.
- Set the oven to Top and Bottom Heat, 180 °C and wait 10 minutes. If there is no temperature rise at all, a heating element has likely failed.
Still not working?
Heating element replacement requires a qualified engineer. Do not attempt to open the oven casing. Book a repair at support.monverta.com/book-service.
