Cuff Not Detected
If the VitaCheck M1 displays "Cuff not detected" or Error E03, the monitor cannot sense the cuff connection. Follow these steps to resolve the issue.
Step 1: Check the physical connection
- Disconnect the cuff air tube from the monitor by gently pulling the connector straight out.
- Inspect the connector for dust, lint, or debris. Clean gently with a dry cloth if needed.
- Reconnect the tube by pushing the connector firmly into the port until you hear and feel a click.
- The cuff icon should appear on the display within 2 seconds of connection.
Step 2: Inspect the air tube
- Check the full length of the tube for visible cracks, kinks, or punctures.
- Ensure the tube is not pinched by the cuff fabric or caught under the monitor.
- If the tube shows signs of damage, replace it with a new Air Tube Set (MV-VM1-SP-TUBE).
Step 3: Test with a different cuff
If you have access to a second cuff (Small MV-VM1-CUFF-S or Large MV-VM1-CUFF-L), connect it to the monitor. If the replacement cuff is detected successfully, the original cuff or tube is faulty and should be replaced.
Step 4: Restart the monitor
- Remove all batteries and disconnect USB-C power.
- Wait 10 seconds.
- Reinsert batteries or reconnect USB-C.
- Reconnect the cuff and check for the cuff icon.
